Raising a Free Range CF Child: From Baby to Self Sufficient Adult.
I asked my mother to write about her experience raising me at a time when CF was relatively unknown and life was uncertain. This is the amazing story she gave me.

Hospital life can be pretty repetitive.
Wake up, drugs, breakfast, exercise, drugs, lunch, drugs, exercise, sleep, dinner, drugs, sleep and repeat.
Here is collection of thoughts by someone who knows the feeling all too well.
Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
Kate told us she loves listening to this Queen song because it reminds her she can have a go at anything. I agree. Freddy’s voice alone is amazing let alone with the rest of the band!
Ebony
Who didn’t love to draw when they were young?! As a form of therapy, the links between chronic disease and art have been known for some time. In this post, 11 year old Ebony uses art as a way to deal with her CF and by the looks of it, hone her cat drawing skills. Go Ebony!
The music of DJ Shadow
For me, DJ Shadow is the man! If you haven’t heard his first album ‘Endtroducing’, follow Molly’s advice and ‘Do Yourself a Favour’. The album takes you on a trip/hop, hip hop, breakbeat journey.

Tell us your Music
What song or musician do you like to listen to when you want to go to the gym or relax? Why do some musicians affect you more than others?
CF Inspired Tattoos
We would love for you to share your CF inspired tattoos with us. I’m sure each piece has its own story and we would love you to share that with us to.
I Take all these Meds
If you look at any group of patients with a chronic disease, Im sure the one commonality is that humour can be found in any situation. This poem is intended to be sung to the tune of the Lucky Starr version of the Johnny Cash song ‘I’ve Been Everywhere’.

Spending so much time in hospital isn’t fun. Crazy as it seems, back in the old days before cross infection was an recognised issue, it was almost like a school camp. Catch ups, gossiping, laughing. Then you start to spend too much time in hospital…
CyFi Life
This is great blog to read if you want to be inspired by people with CF who are high achievers in all different kinds of fields. It just goes to show that having a condition such as CF should not stop people from attempting to achieve their dreams.
